This woman, Waris Dirie has been such an inspiration for me. Many would know her from her modelling career or even her autobiography "Desert Flower". Her life story is unforgettable and her will and drive to make a difference in the world for others is remarkable. .. I couldn't not paint this gorgeous soul.

Hi there.
I am a Melbourne based artist I have been painting since I was about three years old. (Yes, my mother still has my very first painting on canvas in a little gold frame). The desire to paint and create is part of my DNA. Whilst I have enjoyed experimenting with different mediums and subject matter over the years, my focus has largely been portraiture and abstract . I love painting portraits of women whose features and personal stories inspire me. These paintings seek to highlight each woman's natural beauty and life story.
