I am a veterinarian, writer and artist. Originally from South Africa, I emigrated to Australia in 2012. My artwork varies from abstract to realistic and I work in watercolour, acrylic and pencil.
My mother, Marcella de Boom, was a passionate full-time artist and thus obviously my first and most important influence. I grew up on a farm in South Africa, attended Pro Arte High School in Pretoria, but then got a degree in veterinary science. Nevertheless, art and writing has remained important parts of my life. I work mainly in acrylic, in a variety of styles, but also enjoy realistic watercolour and drawing.
