An explosion of colour incorporating painting, pen work, stenciling and pouring. Bright colours and random textures play alongside stenciled images derived from Indian fabric design. I am always inspired by fabrics, textiles and surface print designs from across the globe and this is celebrated in my artwork while attempting to capture the vibrant energy and movement of the places I've visited.

I've always had a keen interest in art and creating even since I was a little girl. I discovered my love for painting when I painted on my first real canvas at 13. Since then I have developed interests in many areas but I always come back to painting. My preferred medium is acrylic and i enjoy creating abstract pieces reflecting my deep interest in surface print design and fabrics and textiles from across the world. I create a mixture of wild and totally free abstracts as well as structured, more precise design pieces. Bright colours and patterns are my favourite elements to use in my art. I have participated in a number of group exhibitions in Brisbane and hope to have my first solo exhibition early next year. After retiring from a 27 year career as a school teacher, I now have my own company teaching art and craft workshops in my Brisbane studio.
