Artwork Description

This artwork is inspired as so many of my works about people and nature. Some of the best memories we gather in life are the ones remind us of our beloved friends. So often when I see a stunning beaty automn I am instantly drawn into my world of sweet memories about the times I spent with friends. “I can only note that the past is beautiful because one never realises an emotion at the time. It expands later, and thus we don't have complete emotions about the present, only about the past.”― Virginia Woolf

Artist Bio

I am a Melbourne based artist. Painting and drawing have been being a crucial part of my life. I started to draw when I was two years old and spent all my childhood at an art studio and school. After finishing College of Art in Russia in 1989, I continued my study and achieved a Bachelor of Fine Art and teaching. I used to work as a teacher with kids in Moscow art studio and as well as an art teacher for disabled children at Moscow rehab hospital.
In 2010, I came to sunny and bright Australia. And now, Australia is my home. I am impressed by Australian colourful and bright nature and try to bring such colours to my oil paintings. I mainly work with oil paint and enjoy experimenting with brushes and syringes.
Painting is my source of energy and connection with the world. My artworks reflect my bright, positive feelings, emotional expression, joy, happiness, and creativity. And I believe that people who look at my artworks should feel the same. I will be happy to share with people my positive, energetic impression of Australian flora and fauna, which helps to reduce stress and pressure from everyday routine.
In the future, I’d like to continue my experiments and take part in Australian Art exhibitions.
