Flamingo explorer

Pink flamingos attract quite a bit of attention due to their vibrant color and majestic appearance. It felt good in this painting to add the white fedora hat I wear in summer, which prevents my face from burning and turning flamingo pink. So this bird is wearing one too, and also carrying the small village with its shanty-tiny homes while exploring the vast blue. Villages, in my paintings, have always represented community and togetherness, but also flexibility, keeping alive the spirit of exploration and adventure.
The colors are incredibly vibrant and I think they make a great combination of vivid details and a few other elements in this artwork.

From an early age, I was drawn to creative expression, discovering my passion for art as soon as I could hold a crayon.
I pursued this passion academically, earning a degree in Art Education in Ukraine, which laid the foundation for my artistic and teaching career.
After relocating to Australia in 2002, I continued to develop my practice and actively sought opportunities to exhibit my work.
I have since participated in various art prizes and exhibited in local galleries, while also sharing my knowledge through teaching, both in my home studio and within the school community attended by my children.
For me, art is more than a passion; it is a lifelong journey of exploration, growth, and connection. Through both my creative practice and teaching, I aim to inspire others to experience the joy and transformative power of art. My work has allowed me to engage with audiences locally on the Gold Coast and internationally, reinforcing my belief in creativity as a universal language that enriches lives.
