Artwork Description

Tea Break captures a quiet pause in the process of making a space feel like home.
A young blonde girl in blue jeans, a yellow T-shirt, and red gum boots leans against a sawtooth blue wall.

Her face is hidden behind a turquoise cup held out in a relaxed, outstretched arm.
Garden pots and a hose rest on the timber floor, while green vertical boards rise above the blue, framing the scene with a sense of structure and calm.

This piece celebrates the small moments of rest during big efforts—redecorating, planting, creating comfort.
It’s a tribute to everyday beauty and the joy of claiming a space, one tea break at a time.

Artist Bio

From an early age, I was drawn to creative expression, discovering my passion for art as soon as I could hold a crayon.
I pursued this passion academically, earning a degree in Art Education in Ukraine, which laid the foundation for my artistic and teaching career.
After relocating to Australia in 2002, I continued to develop my practice and actively sought opportunities to exhibit my work.
I have since participated in various art prizes and exhibited in local galleries, while also sharing my knowledge through teaching, both in my home studio and within the school community attended by my children.
For me, art is more than a passion; it is a lifelong journey of exploration, growth, and connection. Through both my creative practice and teaching, I aim to inspire others to experience the joy and transformative power of art. My work has allowed me to engage with audiences locally on the Gold Coast and internationally, reinforcing my belief in creativity as a universal language that enriches lives.
