Artwork Description

My photography is more emotive than practical. When I am creating images around water, particularly the beach, I feel a great connection.
This image was created in camera with a slight movement and a long exposure. It is an image I love and it prints beautifully. I have used the one image form Port Stephens and created a delightful panel rich in tones.
I can print on a semi gloss - Canson's Platine Fibre Rag or on a mellow matte paper - Canson's Rag Photographique.
I have indicated a few size variations but please feel free to contact me if you want something different.

I print my own work up to and including A2 size. I use an Epson large format printer with archival inks.
Sizes above A2 will need a lead time to be sent away to print.

The image can be ordered framed - please contact me for a quote.

Other sizes
A4 Paper $170
A3 Paper $290
A3+ Paper $310
A2 Paper $440

Artist Bio

My passion for photography was finally unleashed when I retired from education in 2010. Since then my knowledge and my style have developed considerably. I have had many opportunities through courses, workshops, mentoring, travel and exhibitions to nurture my passion for photography.

My style is more impressionism than realism. My passion is seascapes.

I decided a number of years ago that the seascapes I wanted to create would be more painterly, perhaps more gentle. I use a variety of techniques to make my images but the core of my work is created in camera. I use post processing to add another dimension and to resolve the image.

My work is not limited to seascapes. As a Blue Mountains resident, I have found a way of interpreting my local landscape. I don’t try to compete in style with the amazing landscape photographers who I admire, rather I try to put my own emphasis on the images I choose to capture. For the past 4 years I have had a relatively large body of work at the Blackheath Hub where my work became known. I am active in the Mtns Made community and I have valued getting to know other artists in my local area. I have been involved in a number of group photography exhibitions including in the Palm House, Botanic Gardens Sydney; Everglades, Leura; Braemar in Springwood; National Parks Govetts Leap Blackheath.

I print most of my own work in my home studio on my Epson large format using archival papers and inks. The work featured initially on Bluethumb is some of my local Blue Mountains and rural scenes.
