Artwork Description

In the serene landscape of my own farm, nestled in the tropical expanse of North Queensland, I embarked on a quest to immortalize the essence of Quami, a young Lowline Steer.. With the familiarity of the terrain and the comfort of knowing Quami's every grazing spot, I ventured out equipped with my camera, driven by an insatiable passion for photography and the desire to capture Quami's unique spirit.

Within the familiar boundaries of my farm, where wildlife mingled with domesticity, I found Quami in a sun-drenched pasture, his noble form a testament to the beauty of the land. With the ease of proximity and the intimacy of familiarity, I lowered myself into the grass, camera steady and senses attuned. In that tranquil moment, as Quami's presence filled the frame, I realized that my journey was not just about capturing an image, but about celebrating the timeless connection between land, creature, and photographer.

Artist Bio

Growing up in the enchanting landscapes of the Lake District, UK, I inherited a love for photography from my dad, a seasoned pro behind the lens. Those early days spent tinkering in the darkroom sparked a passion that has guided me through life's adventures. After school, I hit the road, and it wasn't long before I found myself in Australia – a place that just felt like home. Here, amidst the hustle and bustle of everyday life, I discovered solace behind the camera lens, seeking out pockets of peace and calm in the chaos. My photos? They're my way of sharing those moments with you, my fellow Aussie art enthusiasts, offering a slice of serenity in a world that never seems to slow down. So, kick back, take a peek through my lens, and let's find some beauty in the everyday together.
