My painting, Sink into the Blue Abyss, is an expressionistic self-portrait surrounded by the blue world we find ourselves in through the layers the portraiture within has been unable to do anything but ‘sink’.

I turned to art to not just represent emotion but to also understand what I was feeling. My artists' practice is to put physical characteristics and gestural brushstrokes to anxious thoughts and feelings, creating beauty from the darkness and sharing my narrative and story through every brushstroke.
