His achievements include being a finalist in art prizes such as The Bald Archies , Gallipoli Club Anzac and the prestigious Sir John Sulman in 2011 when his painting " Greetings from Byron Bay" was on exhibition in NSW Art Gallery and toured Australia. 2011 was same year Ben Quilty won the Archibald with portrait of Margaret Olley.

LiNDSAY'S paintings are in collections located all over Australia plus France , Amsterdam, Malibu Beach , Rhode Island , NYC & London.
LiNDSAY was a political cartoonist for ARENA student newspaper while at Macquarie University during 1970s .
His major work for First Level Art in the NSW Higher School Certificate was a painting of a QLD tropical rain forest which received a special mention.
LiNDSAY was a frequent visitor to the legendary YELLOW HOUSE gallery in Potts Point in 1970/71 where he met artistic luminaries Martin Sharp, Brett Whiteley, Peter Kingston , Garry Shead & Jenny Kee .
LiNDSAY says that, " Abstract Expressionist art is the subconscious mind in a visual reality . The resulting painting is a psychological whirlpool which consumes the viewers attention evoking primordial emotions & thoughts . "
His series of abstract , expressionist paintings are influenced by Kandinsky, Klee, Kudditji & Pollock .
He is a regular entrant in the Archibald & other art prizes with portraits of many different Australians , including actresses Nicole Kidman, Cate Blanchett, Desert artists Kudditji Kngwarreye , Lorna Fencer, Gloria Petyarre plus artist Wayne Ashton , journalist John Stapleton, Dr Stephen Edwards & singer song writer Sophie von Plomgren.
