Artwork Description

Within the depths of a dark opal the fire burns brightly and hope burns eternal.

The use of metallic acrylics and gloss varnish creates the spark of light seen within the depths of the Australian opal.

The painting is on a round stretched canvas and is ready to hang.

Artist Bio

Hello, I am Irene and I have been immersed in creative activities since I could hold a pencil, paintbrush or needle.

Throughout my creative journey I have explored various mediums, including fibre arts and ceramics, and continue to be fascinated by the range of artistic possibilities. My style is abstract and primarily worked in acrylics. Occasionally will incorporate pastel, pencil, resin or other medium into my work.

For me, art is the voice of the heart and soul, a language beyond words. My paintings often convey the emotions and stories that I cannot fully articulate. As you explore my collection, I hope you find something that resonates.

I am privileged to live and create on Wurundjeri Country. I acknowledge and pay my respect to Elders past, present, and emerging.
