While I typically specialise in portraiture, it has been a fun venture capturing the beautiful colours and personalities of birds. Unlike my portraits, it is difficult to correct any mistake, every stroke is therefore purposeful and final. While it does not take relatively long to create the painting itself, the impasto takes months to dry sufficiently for the resin to be applied which is what creates the water effect.
