Artwork Description

Mikhail Botvinnik, the 6th World Chess Champion, was born on August 17, 1911. He reigned from 1948 to 1963, with two brief interruptions, and is known for his scientific approach to chess preparation. Beyond the chessboard, Botvinnik was an electrical engineer with a mathematics degree and a pioneer in computer chess.

Artist Bio
