This work is a partial oil study after Leonardo da Vinci’s Lady with an Ermine, focusing on the sitter’s face, expression, costume, and delicate turn of the head. Rather than recreating the full original composition, the painting isolates the portrait section, allowing attention to remain on the subtle modelling of the face, the warm skin tones, and the contrast between the illuminated figure and the dark background.
