Ivett Nagy is a Hungarian artist born in Slovakia. She currently lives in Melbourne, with her Australian husband and their son. From a young age, Ivett was influenced and encouraged by her parents to absorb the arts – learning to sing, play violin, and paint. Although she continued with all three throughout her school years, Ivett found her real passion in painting.
Growing up in Europe allowed Ivett to experience the beauty and variety of the arts scene in cities such as Vienna, Budapest and Berlin. Her motto, ‘diversity enhances creativity’, is the foundation for her special interest in using different techniques with acrylics, which is evident in the artworks she creates. Besides caring for her son, Ivett spends as much time as possible in her studio, creating original paintings on deep edge canvas. Her current focus is Australia’s amazing coastline, as well as all kinds of animals, but Ivett also loves to work closely with clients, so she can produce an unique commissioned piece of art for them.
