Drawing on paper
Signed on the front.
This drawing is an interpretation of the marble statue of a member of the imperial family, Augustan or Julio Claudian. I have always being amazed by the ancient Greek and Roman cultures, and I find impressive how these sculptures were made such a long time ago.
In the drawing I have attempted too interpret more the movement than keeping the form fully realistic, being aware that as statue there is stillness present, however the movement of a feeling an emotion is behind every artwork, in my opinion.
I have used charcoal, graphite pencils and soluble graphite for the variety of lines. Framed Drawing can add a simple, minimalistic and modern touch to any wall. I am personally envisioning it in a study, bedroom, next to the bookcase... but it can be anywhere :).
