Flowers are so beautiful; but that beauty is so fragile and brief.

In this image the beauty of the flower has been transformed from how we are used to seeing it to a fleeting glimpse. This allows you to see other things in the flower, enhancing the beauty and the flower seems to tell its own story.

This Sea Thistle appears to be fluttering away on fairy wings.

Sea Thistle comes unmounted and unframed, but with a margin around the outside so that you can frame it yourself to suit your decor.

I grew up in Manchester in the North of England but have lived in many parts of the UK and in France but returned to Manchester when I was 27 years old. I was always interested in art and crafts and can’t remember a time when I wasn’t creating something (other than chaos!!).

I have always been interested in photography and taken photographs firstly with a trusty point and shoot and then with an equally trustworthy DSLR camera.

In 2010 I moved to Melbourne Australia where I started to formally study photography. Since then I have been involved in exhibitions and in 2017 I won a Silver Award in the National AIPP competition and another Silver Award in the Victorian AIPP awards earlier this year.

I love experimenting to create photos and like nothing better than to turn the ordinary into art.
