Artwork Description

'Off to the Hills' abstract landscape, reflecting on the vastness of this beautiful land of Australia and its ever changing scenery. We love to hike and have spent some time in the last few years exploring the hills, lakes and mountains in the Murrindindi Shire. This painting was inspired by those areas, with the lakes and dams surrounded by the huge hills there.

Mixed media on 40 x 50cm gallery wrapped canvas, 40mm deep.

Ready to hang with a sturdy wire attached to the back.

Jacinta Payne – Artist Bio

Hello! Welcome to my Bluethumb page!

I'm a Melbourne based artist, who has always created, and my artistic practice has become a full time pursuit in the last 8 or so years.

Here on my Bluethumb page you will find some of my colourful abstract works, expressive and evocative, made purely from a place of memory and emotion. I have also included some of my semi-abstract landscapes, and these are made with an environmental perspective in mind, my interpretation of the bush where I live and which is my happy place. My commitment is to raise further awareness of the need to protect our amazing natural environment.
