Time Makes You Bolder

As with many of my paintings, the landscape is my muse, ever changing with the seasons, and with time. The neon pink leaves in this painting are a visual ode to the idea that we should embrace making bold moves, and let our confidence out, whether it is making a painting that's a little off spec and out of the 'normal' perception, or in our daily lives, trusting our instincts and doing what we feel is right for us at any given moment in time. For some this comes naturally, for others, we build this confidence as we get older and wiser.

The painting has been made using artist quality acrylic paint, charcoal, oil stick and pigment ink. The gallery wrapped edges have been painted so there is no need to frame the painting, it is ready to hang as is.

Hello! Welcome to my Bluethumb page!

I'm a Melbourne based artist, who has always created, and my artistic practice has become a full time pursuit in the last 8 or so years.

Here on my Bluethumb page you will find some of my colourful abstract works, expressive and evocative, made purely from a place of memory and emotion. I have also included some of my semi-abstract landscapes, and these are made with an environmental perspective in mind, my interpretation of the bush where I live and which is my happy place. My commitment is to raise further awareness of the need to protect our amazing natural environment.
