Artwork Description

I wanted to describe the mandarin and show tone, light and colour. I found that looking closely enough there was a soft orange reflection from the mandarin onto the plate and the shadows had a slight lavender tint to them.

I set the still life up on a white plastic moulded chair with the plate on a painting board to keep it level and give some grounding and strength to the composition.
