A nasturtium from the garden chosen for its gorgeous colour and form. This painting is a study, examining the light and tone of the subject and the area around the subject to faithfully describe the nature of this nasturtium.
I am inspired by form, light, colour and pattern. I paint and draw because I enjoy it and want to record what I see that’s beautiful. I work as well and find that small paintings help me to keep painting in the gaps between my job and family life. Small paintings are also easy to post! I complete each painting in one session, always working from life.
