Artwork Description

Cut the anchor
Set your sails
Let the wind catch you and
Carry you across unexplored seas

I used pastel colours along with a deep yellow to capture a magical sunset, with shimmers of the sunset hues reflecting in the ocean. The yacht is a more abstract form using a palette knife. This painting was inspired by during my first sailing trip in September. The wind in the sails, ocean spray in my face, and surrounded by blue. It was exhilarating and peaceful at the same time!

This artwork is an acrylic painting on 380gsm pure cotton canvas. Finished with gloss varnish layer protect the artwork from UV rays. Edges painted.

It comes with a signed certificate of authenticity and is also signed and dated on the back of the painting. Ready to hang.

Artist Bio

"In my secret place, creating"

Jacqueline is an emerging artist currently based in Melbourne with a vision to magnify the wonder and awe of God through colourful, bold and dynamic art. In the midst of a difficult, isolated and "locked-down" season in life, Jacqueline drew unexpected strength and joy from picking up a pencil and immersing into the creative art process. It soon escalated into a beautiful evening practice in the quietness and stillness of her home. After a few months, she began exploring and studying watercolours and later acrylic on canvas. Every piece of art is an overflow of an intimate relationship with God. This creativity has overflowed into other areas of life, including the way she leads her business, The Swim Project, to spread the joy of swimming to all adults globally.

Jacqueline hopes her art will transform hearts, elevate homes and ignite the fire within - secret dreams, hidden treasures.

Her artwork titled 'Joy of Looking Up' was exhibited at the 2023 and 2025 Pilgrim Artists Festival held in Huon Valley, Tasmania.
