The fallen leaves that we often pass by without a second thought, sometimes creating a carpet underfoot. Whilst lush and glossy whilst alive, each dropped branch takes on a second life once fallen that is just as beautiful if notice is paid.
The surprising find of the vivid purple mars on these branches intrigued and delighted me upon picking them up after a spring storm. The intrigue behind these naturally vibrant markings gives rise to a reminder in the value of living life in an unassuming manner whilst embracing new perspectives whenever the chance is afforded.
Would look lovely paired with the second in this series: Purple rain - Eucalyptus 1
