This is an original, one off, colourful abstract painting on canvas ready to hang on your beautiful wall.
***************
I have reduced the price of this painting due to the effect of Corona Virus on the world economy and my income. I am hoping it helps some buyers to beautify their homes in this current situation and be able to support a sole trader - artist (that's me), at the same time.
Prices will return to normal when the world does.

I love the stormy deluges above and below the surface by the coast. The tension in the air. The azure, violet and greens. Everything has this beautiful pause and glow.
This artwork is from my 'Aquatic' Series and Water Surface exploration. What lies below the surface? What lies above the surface? What pushes the surface? Water as a subject, context and formal element seems to often find its way back into my artwork. It reveals my passionate love of the sea and all things briny particularly the influence of the locale where I grew up - overlooking Bass Strait from a hilltop farm at Flinders. The constant movement of water. The turbulences reflecting human emotion and tumultuous goings on. The life giving nature of water and the fragility of waters of life. The stormy deluges above and below the surface. The colour formations reflected across the water. Powerful under currents, drifts, ebbs, flows and surges. Patterns on a macroscopic scale. I find all these things meditative and worthy of contemplation.
Here the paint in big gestural strokes and the drips working with gravity, pouring off the brush marks makes this artwork quite intuitive and expressionistic. Sometimes you just have to go with the flow, that’s what the ocean does to you. Play in the paint like you might dance in the waves. Feel the wonderful surge of the creative waters of life.
I love the colours, transitions and fluidity and expressiveness of this way of painting so much so that I cannot bring myself to keep painting much more over the beautiful raw surface. The painting already speaks so much about an authentic simplicity, the transcendental and fluidity of the natural world as well as possessing its own colour energy.
What I enjoy most about my paintings is they make people smile with a sense of wonderment and feelings of happiness as well as giving their walls style and finesse with a splash of colour for years to come.
This is one of a pair and both paintings look stunning hanging together. Keep a look out on my other listings. The pair is titled 'Aqueous Flow VI'.
ALL PAINTINGS ARE VARNISHED with Professional Quality Artists Varnish, once they have been photographed. This gives a protective surface and an exquisite sheen that really makes the colours powerful & eye-catching.
The painting is on canvas wrapped around traditional wooden stretcher bars with edges that are a smart 3.5cm deep out from your wall.
The edges are cleaned, staple free and painted a rich black to compliment this painting.
Ready to put on your wall with hanging wire on back.
Painting is signed and titled verso.
