l started painting and drawing in my youth in Paris, France. Throughout my work career as a carpenter, l tried to live more artistically, working as a set builder in theatre, trade shows, museum displays, etc. I studied art in 2009/ 10 at the art school in Southport, Gold Coast. Since retiring several years ago, I can now devote more time painting.
l am a member at the Royal Queensland Art Society, where l regularly exhibit and sell my paintings.
I participated in art classes with Mal Hodges for two years , and now with John Mac Connochie.
In 2021 and 2022 l entered the D'Arcy Doyle Art Awards and sold paintings in both exhibitions.
l mostly paint in oil and prefer the landscapes of the Gold Coast hinterland, as well as other locations, sometimes from around the world.
l am orientating myself into more of an abstract approach to my art, with rich vibrant colors, always looking to the divine light!
