My work illustrates my love and interest in animals, Australian wildlife, birdlife and nature. I mostly work on canvas often combining a variety of mediums within the one piece. I love to combine people and wildlife in a whimsical way telling a story of trust, understanding and respect for nature.
I have a small gallery Art Dreaming in my home town of Bruthen Victoria. My first solo exhibition ‘Birds of a Feather’ was July 2021, second exhibition July 2022 and I’m currently working on a series of small to large scale pieces for my upcoming winter solo exhibition ‘Magic Happens’ 2023.
I entered my first art competition EGAG WRAP small artwork prize 2022 and won the major prize which has boosted my confidence and given me the courage to share my work further afield.
Life as an artist has shown me many lessons these past years, from grief to gratitude creating art has healed my soul. What I have learnt is that life is way too short to waste, dreams are there to be chased, caught and lived, opportunities present themselves for a reason, and for me my dreams are meant to be PAINTED!
