Jade Li is a Melbourne-based China-born emerging artist. Her art is inspired by ancient & modern art techniques and concepts. She is exploring her art on diverse passes, oriental painting and experimental digital art.
Her painting and drawing skills have been developing through years of hard practice. After finishing her bachelor of design (digital media) at Swinburne University, Jade switched her view to diverse culture for inspiration. She also studied Chinese medicine and massage therapy to find deeper connections between ancient oriental philosophy and contemporary art concepts.
Right now, in her mid-20-year-old, she finally decided to overcome her insecurities and hone her creative voice as a Gen Y. She showcased her art at KNOX IMMERSE.Art in Unexpected Places, curated by City of Knox (2019) and REFLECT-Raw Australia Artists Showcase at Melbourne Pavilion (2019). She received Merit Award from The Global Tour of Chinese Culture and Art (2019).
Currently, Jade is working on artwork and design concepts through self-initiated projects that are embedded in pigment painting, digital imaging, computing and biodegradable experimental art.
