The inspiration behind this piece was to depict the natural and the mechanical merging, the heartbeat transforms into a mechanical, unnatural shape. The stark white and blue colours around it provide a sterile, medical aura that gleams around the vital sign of life.

I am a twenty-four-year-old artist from Coffs Harbour, NSW. I love all things creative including poetry, playing music and novel writing. I’m largely self taught at painting. I have attended some art lessons at a local art group and did art all through high school. I depict dreamy outer space art with an ethereal, psychedelic theme. Merging dreamy landscapes and mysterious scenery, I often contrast this with harsh imagery, usually with an underlying social or environmental meaning. I also really enjoy architecture and human anatomy which I try to incorporate into my paintings in refreshing and exciting ways.
