Off the Grid (Vital Signs)

This artwork showcases the increasingly blurred lines between mechanical and natural. The merging of the two is represented through iconography, evoking in the viewer ideas of merging and blending. The red evokes a sense of passion and life, while balanced with the sterile white radiates a medical, healing energy that imbues the work.

I am a twenty-four-year-old artist from Coffs Harbour, NSW. I love all things creative including poetry, playing music and novel writing. I’m largely self taught at painting. I have attended some art lessons at a local art group and did art all through high school. I depict dreamy outer space art with an ethereal, psychedelic theme. Merging dreamy landscapes and mysterious scenery, I often contrast this with harsh imagery, usually with an underlying social or environmental meaning. I also really enjoy architecture and human anatomy which I try to incorporate into my paintings in refreshing and exciting ways.
