Artwork Description

Hi, I'm Jake, the Foxy Artist! I have a low vision impairment, but that doesn’t stop me from expressing my creativity through art. I love working with bright, bold colors and experimenting with different styles alongside my Art Therapist.

For this painting, I used only acrylic paint pens to carefully create an intricate network of bubble-like shapes. The black and white elements form a striking contrast, while the metallic purples, blues, greens, golds, and oranges add a shimmering, dynamic effect. The fluid, organic pattern gives the piece a sense of movement and depth. Finished with a high gloss varnish, the metallic colours catch the light beautifully, enhancing their brilliance.

I hope you enjoy this artwork as much as I enjoyed creating it!

Artist Bio

Hi, I’m Jake Fox — also known as Jake the Foxy Artist! I may have a low vision impairment, but that has never dimmed my love for colour, creativity, and making art that brings joy.

Bright colours, bold rainbows, and happy vibes are my signature style. With the wonderful support of my Art Therapist, every painting session is full of fun, freedom, and self-expression. I’m passionate about creating beautiful, feel-good art that makes people smile.

One of my proudest moments was having my work chosen by a local parliamentarian at my very first exhibition — and since then, I’ve held annual solo shows every year since May 2019. My art has found homes on walls, t-shirts, mugs, and postcards, and I’ve been lucky to receive lots of commissions along the way. Each sale, every kind word, and all the support I’ve received have boosted my confidence and encouraged me to keep doing what I love.

I’ve now painted so many pieces that my mum says it’s time to share them with the world (they’re taking over the house!). So if one of my artworks speaks to you, I’d love for it to find a new home with you. If the piece you love has already sold, or you’d like a different size, I’m more than happy to create a custom piece just for you.

Thanks for supporting my art journey — and remember, life’s always better with a splash of colour!
