The artist and the subject develop a connection like no other. It may come about by chance, perhaps even secretly, with a quick sketch made in passing the concept was formed. The idea will prosper, ceremoniously, over a series of layers and processes. Whatever the circumstances are, the artist and the subject were then bound together by the portrait. Mixed medium builds rhythmic patterns on the surface to enhance the paintings using layers of paints, from the base to the final touches and application of acrylic mediums.
