Bird in Paradise Ed. 1 of 20

It's hard to ignore such a bold and beautiful creature of nature as the Strelitzia Reginae (or Bird of Paradise). Raucous and proud, they hold their heads high proclaiming their presence unashamedly. I felt that this particularly handsome individual deserved a portrait to honour its place in the world.

I grew up in Melbourne then studied photography at the Polytechnic of Central London before beginning a career in editorial photography in the UK and Europe. Returning to Australia after living abroad for 8 years, my passion has encompassed landscape & aerial photography as well as portraiture, architectural and industrial subjects. In producing my work I have always made the goal to be captivating and have meaning.
