"Lived In" is a portrait study of a face shaped by time and experience. Working pastel and pastel pencil on Pastelmat, I focused on subtle tonal transitions and restrained detail to capture both the texture of the skin and the quiet presence of the subject. The directional light reveals the character of the face while allowing other areas to soften into shadow.
