I have been a professional Artist/Designer since '93. My focus today is Painting and Sculpture. Working in a variety of mediums.
Coming from a family of Artists, creating art is a pursuit or more so a lifestyle I am compulsively fixated on. I'm literally leaving a trail of my loving obsessions for someone that can resonate with them. I've consciously navigated Art to deny artistic education or formal techniques. Personally it allowed me to just figure it out in an exploration and adventure of both agony and ecstasy.
If I was to describe where I gravitate in the drive to manifest through Painting, it's a strive for stillness in the dynamic, to emit something soothing, to pull focus, blur and distract. In the periphery suggest something that your imagination illustrates perhaps more than what's really there, or not - so if you see it "you" see it.
Exhibiting initially in Switzerland in 1993 with a sell out Solo Exhibition.
Private commissions led to Murals and Commercial interiors design and Fitouts.
In Melbourne early 2000's creating artworks for several Designer product showrooms - Paintings/Sculpture/Lighting. Private commissions dominating that period.
Perth 2005 I created Gallery O Contemporary Fine Arts a High end gallery in Northbridge WA. Specialising in Paintings and Australian Art Glass. (Managing Director)
Partaking in Various group exhibitions.
2010 Q Design was created with a focus on original Lasercut Screens & Sculpture (Architectural Features).
2016 Deciding to open up my range of creative ventures, I changed focus to pursue more creatively inspired Art projects, operating under my own name (ROGET james). To include Public art, Art projects and both private and commercial and tailored commissions.
