Artwork Description

Birch trees are my favourite trees to paint, contrasting light bark with dark branches and markings. For this particular painting I have included a very bright and colourful background, attempting to pick up on the sunburnt landscape Australia is often known for.

I have begun a new season of my life where I now have the opportunity to rediscover and explore creative pursuits, working with oil based coloured pencils, soft pastels and acrylics. Having recently been encouraged through exhibiting and selling artwork at a local exhibition with other artists, I am inspired to continue and develop this passion more. I hope others enjoy these new pieces as much as I have enjoyed the hours of creating them.
