A small study of me and my boy; we are sat waiting for our Sunday morning coffee and hot chocolate. The location is outside 'Albert & Nikola' in Dunsborough (Southwest WA) if you know it. We are passing the time playing on an old game device, his arm sits across mine showing me how to do it properly! The reflections in the window merge into the view of the interior and become more abstract. Loved painting this one.
This seems to be developing into an unintended series of coffee-shop paintings. Ever a people watcher, painting people sat in the mid-morning light, I'm interested by the sense of community that exists in each. The paintings are usually taken from photos that I've asked for, sat for, or taken a quick sneaky snap of.
