Artwork Description

I like painting emus, I think of them in different situations, they can be crazy birds, I just put them into a situation.
These paintings done with moulding ,and texture pastes , can be a very difficult process takes weeks to do , it’s layer upon layer , upon layer of pushing theses pastes combinded through a small syringe. Lot of work goes into these birds feathers.

Artist Bio

As a child I loved drawing faces in particular , eyes , as a teenager I started painting in oils and started doing animals, which I love doing.sadly I didn’t paint much till I retired 10 years ago .
Over the years I have developed my own style and doing a lot of experimenting with different media’s. I love texture , so acrylic became a favourite as I could do multiple applications to a painting. I’ve become known in our area for my quirky emu paintings and the story behind them.
Over the last 10 years I have had many exhibitions, Mildura Arts Centre, Mildura Visitors Centre, Wentworth Visitors Centre, Red Cliffs visitors Centre, Wentworth Town Hall etc.
I am a member of The Makers. Here in Wentworth,N.S.W
