In the lush forest of the Watagans National Park, north of Sydney, I came upon a fallen branch propped against a boulder. Laden with moss, lichen, ferns, and tiny epiphytic orchids, it supports a complex community of plants, fungi and other creatures.
I was inspired to memorialise the branch and its companions in a watercolour painting, now reproduced as a limited edition, archival quality, digital print.
I hope it brings the peace, calm and joy to your home that I felt, spending time with this little fragment of the forest.
