To me what is significant about this piece is the brightly coloured background that would lift any room. As well I appreciate the flowers with somewhat quirky leaves stems.

After many years teaching, working in the community and for local and state governments I found retirement and the opportunities it offers. One of these opportunities is art - a hobby I found I loved - and as time went on I surprised myself and others that I had some skill. Initially I developed some techniques at a centre for creativity and spirituality. After my first year as a participant in the group I was asked to facilitate the group that I did for over twelve months when I moved a long distance from the centre. Since that time I have continued to pursue in my artistic endeavours thoroughly enjoying developing my own style/styles with my love for colour and nature.
