Artist Profile – Jan Paul
Jan is a visual artist whose work is deeply inspired by the natural world, with a particular focus on landscapes and nature-inspired compositions. Although her artistic interests began in childhood, Jan set aside her creative pursuits during her teenage years after being advised that art was not a practical career path.
Her passion for art was rekindled in 2013, when an introductory painting class, gifted by her children, reignited her love of creating. Since then, Jan has dedicated herself to developing her artistic practice, exploring a range of mediums and techniques to continually expand her skills and creative expression.
Jan holds a Certificate III in Visual Arts, which has provided a strong foundation in both technical and conceptual aspects of artmaking. Her work reflects a deep appreciation for the beauty and tranquility of the natural environment, capturing the textures, colours, and moods of the Australian landscape.
Through her art, Jan seeks to evoke a sense of connection to nature and to share the joy and peace she finds in the creative process.
