Big Locomotive

A large line drawing of a locomotive at rest on rails. Its monotone depiction increases its dramatic appearance as it sits on metal rails awaiting its departure. A slight curl of steam shows that it is preparing for its move. A minimum of colours dramatises its metal construction with the small red band around its smoke pipe. It is illustrated on grey Canson paper and mounted with a darker grey mount board. It is framed with a thin black metal frame.

After studying and loving art in High School I decided to study Graphic Design. I enjoyed the pure art portion of this course as well as the Typographical, historical and theoretical portions.
After Graduating I then spent many years working in Graphic Design companies and progressed to Senior Designer. This meant overseas travel and managing large projects which was very rewarding.
Only in the last years have I been able to get back to my first love of creating art through painting mostly. It has re-sparked my interest and I am enjoying creating better work every time I pick up a brush.
I hope my art can be enjoyed by others and give joy to their lives in their homes.
