Last wave before dive

The elegance of a whale's tail just before it disappears under the water has always represented such freedom that these animals have in the ocean. It is like a final wave goodbye before they descend under the still water. I painted a small indication of the whale's body underneath the water to show the vast size of the whale. I wanted the water to be very fluid and moving with the whale.

After studying and loving art in High School I decided to study Graphic Design. I enjoyed the pure art portion of this course as well as the Typographical, historical and theoretical portions.
After Graduating I then spent many years working in Graphic Design companies and progressed to Senior Designer. This meant overseas travel and managing large projects which was very rewarding.
Only in the last years have I been able to get back to my first love of creating art through painting mostly. It has re-sparked my interest and I am enjoying creating better work every time I pick up a brush.
I hope my art can be enjoyed by others and give joy to their lives in their homes.
