Artwork Description

artefact
/ˈɑːtɪfakt/
noun
plural noun: artefacts

1.1. An artifact or artefact is a general term for an item made or given shape by humans,
such as a tool or a work of art, especially an object of archaeological interest.

Although my still life “artefacts” will have degraded long before they are archaeologically interesting, the museum-style arrangement elevates the found objects to a historical significance.

Artist Bio

Jane is a mixed media artist. Originally trained as a graphic designer, she furthered her interest in contemporary fine art through studies at North Metropolitan TAFE and Curtin University. Urban landscapes, and still life arrangements are recurring themes, and she explores them through the mediums of both drawing and painting.
