Jane's painting "Killer on the Road" is inspired by the pulp detective magazines that were popular from 1930s to the 1950s - she has appropriated a cover from the 1930s and juxtaposed an image of a crazed man driving erratically through a wheat field. She has incorporated the words on the magazine cover "Every Story True".
Jane is a well-known Brisbane artist who has been finalist for Lethbridge 10,000, Rotary Art Spectacular, Moreton Bay Art Awards, Noosa Art Award, and Stanthorpe Art Prize. She has also exhibited at various Brisbane and Gold Coast galleries. Her paintings are held in private collections worldwide.
