Jane Lear is a Sydney-based abstract/contemporary artist. When she is not wrangling small children, she can often be found with a paintbrush in hand and a lukewarm coffee nearby.
During the first lockdown, painting became a sort of therapy for Jane and reignited a passion in her. She has always enjoyed creating and as a young child could often be found on the kitchen floor while her mother was cooking, with a big roll of butchers paper and a small box of pencils. That was her happy place as a child, and it remains true to this day.
With a background in Primary Education, she has always had a passion for teaching and nurturing new skills in children. Jane hosts regular art classes and workshops in her Wahroonga studio in Sydney for all ages, including adults. All are warmly welcomed no matter their experience.
It is her hope that her art would greatly benefit your life, whether that be by offering you peace and comfort, strength and courage, energy and motivation or just deep joy and happiness.
