Growing up in Sydney with the beach never far away, summers were a time of sandy feet and a sunburnt nose; carefree and happy.
Now, as a mother of 3, I see the beach as more than a playground.
I appreciate the ever-changing light and the vitality, the movement and the energy of our coast.
My artwork endeavours to capture this freedom with the infinite colours of the ocean.
I hope I can inspire others to slow down and take a moment to enjoy our stunning beaches and treasure the natural wonders around us.
From vibrant golden sunshine to brooding storms, sunsets and sunrises, I explore all aspects of the coast I love.
During many years of painting I have enjoyed the benefit of some wonderful art teachers as I have worked my way through watercolour, acrylics, pastels and mixed media before discovering the joy of oils.
These give a luscious, tactile quality as I move the paint around the canvas with brushes, palette knives and hands.
I believe all art should tell a story and I hope my work takes you on a journey of discovery. The world is a fabulous place, full of surprises.
