Artwork Description

This piece was influenced by a trip to the Kimberley. It reflects the striking contrast between the rich, rusty tomes of the weathered rock formations and the green/blues of the river waterways. The colour palette is iconic to the Australian landscape. The reflection in the water adds a serene, mystical quality to this waterway. Gazing at the massive layered cliffs for a boat on the King George River was a wonderful experience, and in this painting I have captured duality of the stone and the tranquil water, in awe-inspiring harmony.
