Artwork Description

This piece was inspired by a visit to Careening Bay in the Kimberley’s. It captures not just a landscape, but the atmosphere created by the light , the colour of the rocks and sand, and the greenery of surrounding formations. The yellow is not simply a representation of sand, but the vibrancy of the land itself , “bleeding “ into the water. Careening Bay inspired in me a sense of reflection , and an exploration of the boundary between land and sea.
