Artwork Description

Rain bomb 3 is an abstract painting by Brisbane artist Janelle Bowra.

The last few weeks has been devastating for so many people with torrential rain and flooding in Queensland and NSW. This painting is an abstract representation of the 'rain bomb' that not only has created so much devastation, but has also united communities and brought out the incredible resilience that Australians are known for.

Abstract art is open to interpretation. It requires you to have an open, inquiring mind to see where it takes you. My art gives you the freedom to explore the artwork and assign your own personal meaning to the piece.

This is a unique original one off painting on stretched artist quality canvas with an internal wooden frame, ready to hang. The best archival quality paints and varnishes are used. It is signed on the front of the painting and comes with a signed certificate of authenticity. The sides are a continuation of the painting.

My paintings are carefully and securely packaged and fully insured in transit.

Artist Bio

Janelle is a Brisbane based abstract artist. Her work has been described as abstract and vibrant using very bright and pure colours, involving multiple layers until she reaches a depth and complexity that represents her inner world and personality. She is a very expressive person and her paintings evolve and reflect this.

"Art takes me to a place where I feel alive, happy, at peace, calm and free. I work with children and young people with mental health difficulties where art is used as a safe way to express inner experiences and feelings. I made it a priority to bring expressive arts into my workplace to connect and communicate with troubled children and teens as a stepping stone toward their recovery."
