Over the years I have dabbled in Art, mainly for my own walls. I did do Art at High School, but I am not one for History and my Teacher told me I didn’t have an Artistic Bone in my body!
Art by Nell Studio was born during COVID. We have been running an Event Management Company for over 20 years which went into hibernation. This left me not knowing how to spend my time. I found YouTube and instead of working I began learning how to paint. Some people would say “I have a gift” I would say “I am dedicated to learning”.
My Sister gifted me Art Classes in October 2020, so in November I started attending TinKat Alley Studio at Fassifern, NSW, I have filled my days with Art, and I love it. I found a new group of friends that all shared my passion and overtime I am proud to share that I have already sold several paintings, received a “Commended” award and am now a Member of the Newcastle and Lake Macquarie Art Society.
2 Years down the track, I have converted a bedroom into an Art Studio, and still spend most mornings scouring YouTube for tips, inspiration, oh and that gift!
